Our Story

Salem OR Junk Pros was built around a simple observation: most junk removal services in the Salem area treat the Willamette Valley like any other market. They apply the same generic approach, the same pricing structures, and the same crew-of-two-with-a-pickup that works in suburban Phoenix or suburban Atlanta. What they miss is that Salem is a specific place with specific homes, specific waste streams, and specific disposal requirements that matter to how the job is done.

Oregon has a genuine commitment to diverting material from landfill — yard waste goes to composting, mattresses go through the Bye Bye Mattress stewardship program, electronics go to certified e-waste processors, appliances with refrigerants get EPA Section 608 recovery before disposal. These aren't optional or extra-cost add-ons in our service. They're how junk removal is supposed to be done in Oregon, and we built our operation around doing it correctly from the start.

We also built our operation around the realities of Salem's housing stock. The city's craftsman bungalows, postwar ranch homes, and Willamette Valley farmhouses have narrower doorframes, tighter stairways, and specific structural characteristics that a crew clearing a hundred Salem-area homes understands differently than one hired for a single job. That experience shows in how efficiently we work and how rarely we cause incidental damage.

Locally Owned, Willamette Valley Based

Salem OR Junk Pros is locally owned and operated — not a franchise location, not a national brand with a local phone number, and not a single-truck operation running out of a personal vehicle. We're a professional service operation committed to the Salem market, operating with proper licensing, commercial insurance, and direct accounts at Marion County Solid Waste's transfer station, Yamhill County, and Polk County facilities.

What that means practically: when you call us, you're talking to the people who will actually do the job. There's no dispatcher routing work to subcontractors or independent operators. Our crew is our crew — trained, insured, and accountable for the quality of every job they complete.

Service Area

We serve Salem and the full Willamette Valley from our base, covering Marion and Polk counties entirely and extending into Yamhill County for communities like McMinnville. Our standard service area with no travel surcharge includes:

For addresses outside these zip codes, call and we'll confirm whether your location is in our standard service zone.

What Makes Us Different

Oregon-Compliant Disposal

Every waste stream routed correctly — yard waste to Marion County composting, mattresses through Bye Bye Mattress, e-waste to certified processors, refrigerant-bearing appliances with EPA Section 608 recovery. No shortcuts.

Donation Before Disposal

Every job is assessed for donation potential before the truck moves. We work with Salem-area organizations — Habitat for Humanity ReStore, local shelters, and thrift stores — to divert usable material from landfill.

Written Quotes, No Overages

Every job gets a written quote that covers labor, haul, and disposal fees. No line items added after loading. If the volume requires a second trip, we tell you at the quote stage, not after the first load is on the truck.

Licensed and Insured

Fully licensed in Oregon and carrying commercial general liability insurance. You're not hiring a guy with a truck — you're hiring a professional operation with coverage that protects your property and our crew.

What We Don't Do

Being clear about what we don't do matters as much as what we do. We don't handle hazardous waste — motor oil, pesticides, herbicides, chemical solvents, and similar materials require licensed hazardous waste disposal that we're not equipped to provide. We don't haul asbestos-containing materials — if your pre-1980 Salem home has material you suspect contains asbestos, you need a licensed abatement contractor before removal. We don't remove live trees or cut up large downed trees — those require arborist services.

We'll tell you clearly at the walkthrough if anything in your load falls outside our capabilities, and we'll point you toward the right resource. We'd rather give you that information upfront than leave you with a partial job.

Our Credentials

How We Work

Every job starts with a walkthrough — either on-site or, for simple single-item jobs, over the phone. We give you a written quote that itemizes what we're taking, how we'll dispose of it, and the total cost. Once you approve the quote, we schedule the haul for the earliest available window that works for you. On the day of the job, our crew arrives in the scheduled window, does the work, sweeps the area, and leaves you with a clean space. We don't bill you more than the written quote unless the scope has materially changed from what we assessed — and in that case, we stop and confirm with you before proceeding.
